Something about the undulating, peaceful moments I find kayaking in the midst of waves and drops centers me in a way that only painting otherwise can. Some of my most favorite rivers are the glacial, wild torrents I’ve encountered in the north, and it is impossible not to feel fully alive and inspired after a day of paddling Alaskan whitewater.
